Where do we start! We had been to a few weddings in the lead up to our own and we recognised the importance of hiring a celebrant that shared our dream. A good celebrant can be the difference between a beautifully curated day that keeps everyone captivated and having guests checking their watches and wondering when they can get to the bar. With Martine at the helm, our day was flawless and passed by in a flash (for us and our guests).

In the months leading up to our big day, Martine spent so much time getting to know us. By the time she had finished describing our love story, it felt like she had been a fly on the wall the whole time. The story was cleverly weaved into a ceremony that everyone could enjoy. There was laughter and mischief, tears of sadness for absent friends and tears of joy throughout.

Martine was a picture of calm on the day, and had prepared for things that we wouldn’t have thought of. She reassured our photographer and gave him photo cues, where she would be stepping back and giving him the best shots of the couple. Our musician was a friend and he was given some kind words that allowed him to have a lovely time and enjoy his contribution to the day. We had some nervous friends doing readings, and Martine could be found coaching them in some last minute confidence. All that was left for us to do was relax and enjoy the day!

After the day we received a kind print out of our ceremony and readings, which was so lovely to receive and we will look at it often.
